Father and Son Insurance Brokers Raise Over £3,000 for St Richards Hospice
Richard and Duncan Sutcliffe will celebrate 25 years of trading next year at their Worcester insurance broking firm, Sutcliffe & Co. The father and son, who are second and third generation insurance brokers have marked this milestone by completing a series of daredevil pursuits in an effort to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice, an independent, Worcestershire charity caring for people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
On 20 June, Duncan Sutcliffe successfully ran the 31 mile Worcestershire Way, from Malvern to Bewdley. He completed the gruelling trek in 7 hours 40 minutes, alongside running partner and local solicitor, Richard Wilkes from law firm Hallmarks.
Following this, on 26 July, 66 year old Richard Sutcliffe performed a tandem skydive at Hinton Airfield in Oxfordshire. Richard fearlessly jumped from a height of over 12,000 feet.
Commenting on their achievements, Richard Sutcliffe commented:
“I am extremely proud to have completed a sky dive, which is undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which I can now wholeheartedly recommend! As an insurance broking firm with close ties to our local community in Worcester, we are delighted to have raised over £3,000 for St Richard’s Hospice.”
