Commercial Package

Commercial Package policies give a basic all round package of cover for businesses. The 'off the shelf' nature of this type of insurance allows costs to be kept low, with a broad range of extras automatically included. This type of policy is most commonly best suited to small offices, shops, salons, restaurants and hotels. There are also variations available to property owners, tradesmen and other small businesses.

Normally all you have to select will be the amount of cover you require for buildings, contents, equipment and stock. Most insurers will then automatically include a range of additional covers, such as: money, business interruption, book debts, legal expenses, public liability, products liability and employers liability. In most cases these extras can be adjusted up or down within a permitted range if required.

This type of insurance is not especially flexible so will not necessarily suit larger or more complex businesses, who may be better served by a Commercial Combined policy.
