Efficacy insurance is required by industries involved in the manufacture, supply or installation of performance critical products such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, temperature controls, fluid controls, etc. Most Public Liability and Products Liability policies will exclude efficacy cover, so it is essential that you check that you have the correct level of cover your business requires.
