Duncan Sutcliffe, Managing Director at Sutcliffe & Co says “I was absolutely blown away by the talent in the Worcester Music Festival photography competition. It was an honour to join them on stage alongside the judges to present the certificate and Sutcliffe & Co branded Malvern gin.”
He added, “It was extra special as it was announced that the festival had raised a whopping £8,819.82 for the nominated charity Snoezelen. Not only was it a successful event for the local community, raising much-needed funds for a super charity, but it also showcases Worcester City as a visitor’s hotspot. The funds raised by Worcester Music Festival for Worcester Snoezelen will help support their vital leisure therapy centre, which provides a range of person-centred multisensory activities designed to empower individuals, bring joy, and support alternative communication. The charity offers a safe and welcoming space for children and adults with learning disabilities and additional needs, enabling them to engage in creative and sensory-based experiences.
The annual not-for-profit festival raises funds for a chosen charity every year, focusing on live music performances, based in venues throughout the city centre, which took place over the weekend of 12th to 14th September. The Worcester Music Festival was created to champion live music for the local community and support emerging artists, and is a highlight in the events calendar of the year for Worcester City.
