Ultra Endurance & Extreme Sports insurance
What insurance does an extreme sports business need?
This very much depends upon the size of your business and the activities you undertake. For example, a small business would generally need public liability and employers’ liability as the bare minimum, to just cover liability claims made by participants, members of the public, employees and volunteers. Larger organisations who might be operating internationally and owning or hiring equipment will require more.
Legally, you will require employers’ liability if you have paid employees or volunteers and Motor insurance if you are using vehicles. If you are using venues or public spaces, there may be contractual requirements for Public Liability. If your activities are subject to the Package Travel Regulations, you may require specific insurance relevant to tour operators. Agreements with sponsors and participants might also create a need for cancellation insurance.
