What is Computer Insurance?
Traditionally, Computer Insurance has insured computers and electronic equipment against theft, loss and damage, either on a stand-alone computer policy or as business contents insurance included in a Commercial Package or Commercial Combined Policy. Some polices also give the option of adding cover for equipment breakdown, data reinstatement and business interruption costs. If you are looking to cover costs associated with data breaches, viruses, hacks, etc., this is normally better covered on a cyber policy.
