What is Latent Defects insurance?
Latent defects insurance is designed to cover against defective design, materials or workmanship that are only discovered after construction of a building is complete. Protection is normally against faults that may lead to structural damage, ingress of water, subsidence or collapse.
Latent Defects insurance is often taken by property developers. However, it is also sought by property owners and tenants, especially if the building is constructed to their specification. It can be used to help cover new builds, renovations, and even property extensions – particularly useful if you are intending to sell your property after the alteration has been completed.
Our team has experience in helping clients with their latent defects cover and can help advise you too. Call us on 01905 21681 or contact us here
